Oh Brother ! Oh Bruder! -- Sneak Peek!

I finally attempted to sew a Raggedy Andy and he is just so adorable! I wasn't sure when I started on the construction, that I was going to like him, but thanks to the unusual method of sewing the head onto the neck, instead of his head and body being one complete piece, he can be given the appearance of a cocked head. He can also nod yes and no, as my daughter quickly discovered this morning!

Wirklich Zucker!

Since I took this picture, he has grown a full head of raggedy red locks and only needs his clothing to be complete and ready for sale. Andy was created from a pattern by Sweet Meadows Farm, and although I had to wait four weeks to get it, I'm so glad I did! He is just the sweetest thing!

Flohmarkt!

Saturday was spent with sitzriesen.de at the twin flea market in Putzbrunn, advertising our heart-work! Here are a few photos:

We had a table outside, right in front of the stairs. Everyone who came into the church, or left again, had to walk past us...

Neue Puppen!

In preparation for the fleamarket this morning, I had made a number of new rag dolls. four of those have already been introduced here on the blog, three of them were only finished yesterday! Let me introduce: Charlotta, Susi und Sugar

Charlotta

My daughter is in love with Charlotta and would really prefer to keep her for herself! Charlotta is the biggest doll I have made yet, maybe that's why she is so loved? Or is it her long red braids? Or the purple dress? Maybe it's just the fact that she is so perfect for hugging.

Susi Sunshine + Dolly

Susi Sunshine is the happiest rag doll there is. Just look at that bright, happy smile! She comes with her very own rag doll called Dolly. Dolly goes everywhere with Susi and Susi just adores her!

Sugar + Dumpling

Last but not least, I'd like to introduce Sugar. Sugar won herself a little chick at the spring fair and that chick grew up into her beloved Dumpling. They are the happiest little couple you'll meet!

In Der Puppenecke was at the twin fleamarket this morning in Putzbrunn in order to do a bit of advertising. After creating flyers and an info-poster, I realized that this blog is going to have to make the jump to German! Oh boy, won't that be fun?!

Shortly, I'll put up some posts with links to the right. I'd like to share with you, the different ways you can personalize a doll, as well as have more general information at hand at all times! I'm also planning on pepping this blog up a bit and trying to keep it updated more often, though what more can I say about the dolls?! Buy them! I can't keep making them if you don't, because I'll run out of storage space!

If you are on Facebook, consider licking that 'like' button!

Posey, Heartfelt and Springy Ann!

So I meant to wait until all the kid-happy dolls were ready before putting dolls in my shop, but as things have gotten a bit weekend busy, I haven't gotten around to finishing the last doll and decided not to wait on the totes 'n dolls. Meaning, they are up for sale now. If you are looking for a larger sized doll that is kid friendly, then you'll have to be patient with me, hopefully by Monday or Tuesday, she'll be up as well!

So this is my quick introduction:

Pretty Posy 3 Pretty Posy 2 Pretty Posey

Pretty Posey is decked out in pink for Spring and Easter! Seriously, how cute is this doll? Both Georgia and Dean love her and have been busy testing her for me, she's holding up well to their play. She has mohair curls tied with ribbons into pigtails, red striped stockings and a little purse to carry her around in. Georgia refers to her (and all of them) as "Sooooooooo SÜÜÜÜÜSSSS!". Imagine how sweet she'd look tucked into an Easter basket for some unsuspecting little girl. Her tote is even big enough to share with a bunny friend!

Springy Ann Springy Ann 2

Springy Ann 3

Springy Ann is Dean's favorite doll, possibly because she is wearing green. He prefers the green dress, even though she has pink curls! Springy Ann is decked in polka dot stockings and a fresh spring green dress. Her tote is a lovely shade of blue, trimmed with blossoms.

Heartfelt 2 Heartfelt 2 Heartfelt 3

And that leaves us with Heartfelt Ann, in her sunshiny yellow tote, she's just waiting to jump into some little girl's (or boy's!) arms.

Love all three dolls, but they aren't the right color? Let me know, I am happy to make customized dolls if you just ask! Have fun shopping!

Coming Soon!

My first set of Kid-Friendly dolls!

dolls 'n totes

These three tiny sweethearts are made as kid safe as possible, their faces are 100% embroidered, cheeks are colored with a crayola crayon and instead of painted stockings, they are wearing brightly colored fabric stockings, nor has any one of these dolls has been stained with coffee. Each doll comes with her very own tote, perfect for storing her, and other surprises inside, maybe a couple of Easter Eggs?

Heartfelt Ann, Pretty Posey and Springy Ann will be available at my Dawanda Shop soon!

*Note* All three dolls were created after a pattern by De Powell. I would also advise you to use your judgment should you be considering gifting a child 3 years or younger, as the hair, although done in tight pigtails, could still come off in chubby toddler hands, and might not be ideal for little ones who like to suck!

Introducing: Tasha

My little business (In der Puppenecke), while not thriving, is still sputtering along. Well okay, it's been at a standstill for a long while now, and not a little because I've been seriously lax at creating any more dolls. An acquaintance has recently started up her own business (sitzriesen.de, check it out) and inspired me to at least finish this one doll, who has been hiding out in the 'to be finished box' for nearly 8 months now. She was so close to being finished, that once I set my mind to it, I had her ready to go by this afternoon.

When she was finished, I realized she was not really an 'Annie', and inspired by the TV show: Life Interrupted, I named her Tasha. I am actually quite taken with Tasha, and if I only had the space, I'd prefer to keep her here for a good long time. As space is one of many things I am lacking, I hope she finds a new home soon!

tasha_2403web

Tasha can be purchased at In der Puppenecke, where she has joined a number of other Annie's, still waiting to be adopted. Like all dolls at In der Puppenecke, she can be made to order, just drop me a line and let me know! Tasha herself is also ready to come to you as is, so if you love her as much as I do, or know someone would would like to add her to their collection, hurry on over to Dawanda!

Please remember, as of this time, all dolls I have created are not suitable for children under 13, as they are rather delicate for hard play. I am looking into creating kid-friendly ragdolls in future, please check back if you are interested!

Also, if you are on Facebook, like my raggies and want to be informed of new developments, please 'like us'!
